Use Case
The Create Portfolio page allows you to build custom investment portfolios with multi-asset support. You can manually select assets and assign weights, or use the Random Portfolio Generator to automatically create diversified portfolios based on your investment strategy.

- Select Asset Type - Choose from Futures, Stocks, ETFs, etc.
- Choose Assets - Select individual assets from the grid
- Set Weights - Assign portfolio weights (must total 100%)
- Create Portfolio - Save your portfolio
Random Portfolio Generator
Automatically create diversified portfolios with customizable settings:
Portfolio Name
- Set a custom name for your portfolio
- Default format: “Random Portfolio [MMDD]”
Number of Assets
- Choose from 3, 5, 7, or 10 assets
- Maximum of 10 assets per random portfolio
Investment Strategies
- Balanced Mix: Equal risk distribution across asset classes
- Growth Focused: Higher allocation to growth assets (stocks, ETFs)
- Conservative: Lower risk with stable returns focus
- Aggressive: High risk, high reward potential
- Max Diversification: Spread across all available asset types
Asset Type Selection Select which asset types to include in your random portfolio:
- Futures (Commodity & Financial)
- Stocks (Individual Equities)
- Indices (Market Indices)
- ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)
- Crypto (Cryptocurrencies)
- Currency (Forex Pairs)
- Rates (Interest Rates)
Manual Portfolio Creation
Step 1: Select Asset Type
Use the dropdown to choose an asset type:
- Futures
- Stocks (with alphabet selector for filtering)
- Index
- Currency
- Rates
- Crypto
- ETF
Step 2: Select Assets
- Browse the asset grid showing real-time prices
- Use filtering to find specific assets
- Click checkbox to select assets for your portfolio
- Selected assets appear in the “Selected Portfolio Assets” section
Step 3: Set Portfolio Weights
- Double-click on the Weight_Pct column to edit weights
- Total weight must equal 100%
- Use helper buttons:
- Random Weights: Auto-generate random weights summing to 100%
- Equal Weights: Distribute equally among all selected assets
Step 4: Save Portfolio
Fill in the portfolio details:
- Name: Portfolio identifier
- Description: Optional description
- Is Public: Toggle to share portfolio publicly
Click “Create” to save your portfolio.

Notional Value
All portfolios are created with a $100 notional value. This means:
- A 20% weight = $20 allocated to that asset
- A 50% weight = $50 allocated to that asset
- Quantities are calculated based on current prices
Tips for Creating Portfolios
- Diversification: Include multiple asset types to reduce risk
- Rebalancing: Check portfolio weights periodically
- Research: Review asset performance before adding
- Naming Convention: Use descriptive names for easy identification
- Strategy Alignment: Match portfolio composition to your investment goals
